Traðir Guesthouse is comprised of 6 double rooms, and 2 twin (bunk bed) rooms. Within the guesthouse we have a large lounge/dinning area, a cafe with a lunch time menu, a restaurant, as well as an information desk to help you plan your trip. Our staff are very knowledgeable on the area, and are always willing to answer any questions you might have.
Soup of the day, served with fresh bread and butter
Grilled Lamb steak, served with baked potatoes, mushrooms, and red wine sauce.
Cod Fish, served with sweet potato puree, grilled vegetables, and spring onion sauce
Chicken, served with potatoes, vegetables, and creamy sauce
Hamburgers and chips
Skyr, tradition Icelandic dessert infused with homemade cinnamon biscuit, whipped cream and fruits of the forest sauce.

We are offering fishing permits for the river Staðará. We can offer three permits per day through fishing season which runs from the 1st of April through to the 20th September.
Close to our guesthouse is the famous Snæfellssjökull which is said to be a source unique peacefullness.
The best places in Iceland for bird watching are considered to be lake Mývatn, Látrabjarg in the West Fjords and the Snæfellsnes peninsula in the west.
